The Vast Ocean Ahead

Whenever confused:
Go to the source.
Gather information.
Find answers.

We are thrown into experiences every single moment of our lives…and above is a receptive exploration into those experiences.

If we stay consistently passionate to discover the truths in our life’s adventure, then, eventually, this receptive exploration develops into understanding.

Among this confusing, scary, and unknown territory that we call an experience, this understanding will develop into peace of mind.

Finally, this peace of mind will develop into energy that will lead us to grow and work in a clear and directed way as we fulfill what we need to do every single day to fall on our couch at home at night and exhale deeply with satisfaction.

Every time I shrug off a piece of information that I’m confused by, I get that much more lost and just critically less energized to progress forward with passion and love.

Don’t lose out on love and wisdom just because we can be too lazy to learn.

Just know that it kills our energy, patience, and care when we stop learning due to the anticipation of having to bravely swim in the vastness of ocean that lies before us.

When deciding to jump in…only swim driven by the purpose of reaching a place of satisfaction…a place of true meaning and self-value…even if it takes a lot of effort and energy to endure the rough storms. Why not? We are going to use our energy if we are awake and moving around anyways.

And just remember we can’t drown because we can always choose to take the life boat back to the hesitant shore.

A song by a very emotionally connected, passionate man. Glen is a great musician with a lot of acoustic soul. This is off his first solo album.

…keep hanging on…I know I’m not leaving yet…

About Kevin Carlstead

I graduated as a hospitality and psychology student at University of Denver. I spent most of my teenage and young adult years in the hospitality industry. I am still searching for what industry suits my personality and talents so that I can feel more meaning throughout my days. My current career pursuit has me enrolled in a graduate program to become a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I love music with something to it. I love life with something to it. I have made it one of my purposes in this life to integrate both of these things that I love. This blog and my own songwriting has given me the platforms to do that very thing. Thank you for reading.
