I do not get to choose my thoughts.

I do not get to choose my emotions.

I do not get to choose how my body works.

I do not get to choose how my body feels.

I do not get to choose how others respond.

I do not get to choose the flow of nature.

I may not get to choose these facts. They lay before me as a part of my constantly changing experience. But, I do get to choose how I respond to them. That is the genuine power I hold in my life.

I am unable to change the past; I cannot know the future; and, no one has the ability to be perfectly positive…or perfectly negative. I live in an out of control, imperfect, and unknown world. A place where, if I stay close to the present moment without trying to grip any fact, I have thousands of true and potent options to choose from.

And, I would like to choose to connect.

To nurture.

To care.

To love.

To throw away my logo…my brand…
